After considering a balance of affordability, performance and comfort, I have narrowed the choice down to the 7 or 8. Apart from the yaw control in the 7 and the s-yaw in the 8 I am struggling to understand the difference between the Evo 7 vs the 8.
The Evo is just a touch better at turn in and the G35 is way behind the STI/Evo in pretty much every aspect. First, the Evo 8 comes in both standard and Edge optics. The Edge is about $500 more. Based on your original post of dabbling in EAA, I don’t think the Edge is necessary. Most EAA use wouldn’t appreciate the more corrected optics unless one is using larger sensor cameras and is more into traditional AP.
