It may work, but if Face ID was affected by water, there's likely physical evidence of that. It could be one of the liquid contact indicators turning color or signs of water damage to the Face ID components. In that case Apple won't offer any repair options, including battery replacement. ( 0)

1 Answer. With the Face ID on iPhones, the front speaker flex cable is linked to the logic board so as long as you transfer this part over you shouldn’t have an issue. By taking the flex off I would recommend a fair amount of heat and it can also help to use Isopropyl alcohol to soften the adhesive and take it slowly if it is your first time.

Restart Your iPhone. Restarting your iPhone or iPad is a quick fix for a minor software glitch that could be the reason why Face ID is not available. On iPhones, simultaneously press and hold the side button and either volume button until the “slide to power off” slider appears on the display. Swipe the circular, white and red power icon When the first Face ID scan is complete, tap Continue. Slowly move your head to complete the circle again. When Face ID setup is complete, tap Done. Reset Face ID. If your iPhone's facial recognition still won't work, try a reset, then set it up again. Go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode. Enter your passcode if prompted. Tap Reset Face ID. Go into the iPhone’s settings. Once you’ve done that, choose Apple ID & Passcode. Face ID & Passcode may be found at the bottom of the page. Select the power button to Reset Face ID from the drop-down menu. Restart your Apple iPhone if it hasn’t already done so. Take a look at the Face ID & Passcode option again. 53Gl3L. 434 400 73 111 156 32 414 447 193
